Job Description:  Participates in the planning of and manages multiple projects that plan, develop, test, install and troubleshoot the equipment, networks systems and software at customer sites across multiple jurisdictions.  Manages new installations, maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting of IGT platforms (e.g., MegaJackpot; Class II games; Wide Area Progressive systems; Central Determination Systems) or IGT Gaming Systems software applications

 
Responsibilities:

o Plans and manages the tactical activities of the entity managed in response to company priorities; participates in establishing systems engineering practice guidelines

o Participates in establishing systems engineering goals and objectives including commitment to project timelines and key installation / upgrade milestones

o Coordinates with internal and external customers to deliver assigned aspects of the planning, testing, installing of the equipment, network systems and software on schedule, within budget, with a high level of quality and efficiency and in a regulatory-compliant manner

o Prepares or participates in preparing project staffing estimates, and monitors project status and skills requirements; participates in ensuring or ensures appropriate resource levels and mix of competencies among subordinate staff

o Participates in ensuring or ensures efficient project management to dependably deliver assigned aspects of installations / upgrades / service in a timely manner

o Participates in ensuring or ensures that the testing and installation new or upgraded software systems and platforms consistent with end users’ requirements

o Analyzes and reports on important metrics during all phases of assigned installation, maintenance, upgrade and service projects

o Monitors and enforces company guidelines and policies for installations / upgrades / service of IGT’s gaming systems / platforms / software

o Keeps abreast of industry; participates in researching and evaluating new technologies to determine their applicability to installations / upgrades of IGT’s gaming systems / platforms / software

Qualifications:
o Has advanced in-depth knowledge of IGT’s systems / platforms / infrastructure
o Either has advanced in-depth knowledge of many technical specialty areas or broad knowledge of several technical specialty areas
o Leverages advanced in-depth needs and opportunities of teams managed and facilitates development of semi-complex solutions
o Has advanced in-depth knowledge of / skills in the content areas of:
- Gaming systems / platforms planning and operations in a large company /
international environment
- Gaming systems / platform hardware and software
- Gaming platform operations
- Systems design and administration
- Systems security
- Systems support of IGT gaming platforms / systems / software
- Regulatory requirements as relates to installed and upgraded systems
o Typically has 7 to 10 years of experience in the design, development, testing, installation and troubleshooting of complex software / hardware systems and system upgrades
o Typically has 3 to 5 years supervisory or management experience
o Master’s / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
