COUNTRY DIRECTOR
BASIC FUNCTION
Lead, manage and control the company's processes following the Latin American guidelines. Coordinates efforts with direct reports involving all departments to line them up with objectives and goals of the strategic agenda. Country Director focuses on results assuring investors' expected returns. Guarantees internal controls ensuring a financially clean operation and establishes guidelines to develop talent, in an ethical, and challenging environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Develop and execute sales strategies that achieve corporate objectives for sales growth, profitability and cash conversion.
Lead operational expansion and improvements in productivity, quality, inventory management and on-time delivery.
Monthly Report to JCLA about relevant activities in John Crane Mexico; keeps JC informed about general news and relevant events about the country and the operation.
Design market and customer research processes that yield accurate sales forecasts, customer focused products and programs, and growth in market share.
Motivate and develop employees in a culture of continuous improvement
Coordinates with the departments the yearly budget structure to present it to JCLA's board with the purpose of establishing goals, objectives and investments requirements.
Evaluate processes' performance in each department through monthly meetings to ensure compliance of strategic thrusts.
Ensure an ethical operation based on the approval of internal controls and policies to maintain a good reputation and credibility of the company.
Lead company's general strategy through the alignment and coordination of the different departments to ensure superior results for the investors
Develop relationships with strategic customers based on frequent meetings and high level face time ; visits to strategic customers should accelerate top line growth providing high value proposals
Approve the local environmental and quality policy based on international standards goals set by the corporation's requirements and the corporation's policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY
Mechanical Engineer, 100% English written and verbal, Masters Degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration or related field desired. At least 5 years experience at General Manager, Managing Director or Country Manager level positions of an international company. Demostrated success in operations, sales and employee development.
